About Our Service

Before any renovation can begin, the old must come out. Rock Enterprises provides professional interior demolition services throughout Monmouth County NJ including bathroom and kitchen demolition, wall removal, flooring teardown, deck demolition, and full room gutting in Shrewsbury, Red Bank, Middletown, Holmdel, Rumson, Colts Neck, Fair Haven, Tinton Falls, and surrounding towns.

Proper demolition is more than just swinging a sledgehammer. It requires knowledge of structural elements, plumbing and electrical systems, asbestos awareness (critical in older NJ homes built before 1980), and efficient debris removal. Our experienced demolition crew works cleanly and efficiently, protecting the rest of your home while clearing the way for your renovation.

Rock Enterprises provides demolition as both a standalone service and as the first phase of a complete renovation. Many homeowners hire us for demolition only and then manage their own renovation. We are happy to work in whatever capacity is most useful to you.

Our demolition crews are experienced, careful, and respectful of your property. We use proper tools and techniques to remove materials without damaging adjacent surfaces that are being kept. We haul all debris to licensed NJ disposal facilities and leave the space clean and ready for the next phase of work.

Demolition done wrong can damage structural elements, plumbing, and electrical systems, creating expensive problems for the renovation that follows. Our experienced crew knows how to work around live utilities, identify structural elements, and remove materials cleanly without creating additional damage.

Our Process

How We Work

01

Free Assessment and Estimate

We visit your home to assess the scope of demolition, identify any potential issues (asbestos, structural elements, live utilities), and provide a detailed written estimate.

02

Utility Coordination

We coordinate with you to ensure utilities (water, gas, electric) are properly shut off or protected before demolition begins. For larger projects, we coordinate with your utility companies.

03

Protection of Adjacent Areas

We protect floors, walls, and surfaces that are being kept with drop cloths and plastic sheeting. Dust barriers are installed to contain demolition dust to the work area.

04

Demolition

Materials are removed carefully and efficiently. Structural elements are identified and preserved. Plumbing and electrical rough-ins are exposed for the next contractor.

05

Debris Removal

All demolition debris is loaded into our truck or a rented dumpster and hauled to a licensed NJ disposal facility. We separate materials for recycling where possible.

06

Final Cleanup

The space is swept, vacuumed, and left clean and ready for the next phase of renovation. We do a final walkthrough to ensure nothing was missed.

Why Choose Us

Asbestos in Older Monmouth County NJ Homes

Homes built before 1980 in Monmouth County may contain asbestos in floor tiles (especially 9x9 vinyl floor tiles), drywall joint compound, pipe insulation, and ceiling texture. Asbestos is not dangerous when it is intact and undisturbed but demolition activities can release asbestos fibers into the air, creating a serious health hazard.

Rock Enterprises takes asbestos seriously. Before beginning demolition in any home built before 1980, we assess the materials to be removed and identify potential asbestos-containing materials. If we suspect asbestos is present, we recommend testing by a licensed NJ asbestos inspector before proceeding.

If asbestos is confirmed, we coordinate with licensed NJ asbestos abatement contractors to safely remove the material before our demolition crew begins work. This adds time and cost to the project, but it is the legally required and safe approach. We will never disturb suspected asbestos-containing materials without proper testing and abatement.

Local Expertise

Load-Bearing Wall Removal in Monmouth County NJ

One of the most common demolition requests we receive from Monmouth County homeowners is removing a wall to create an open-concept floor plan. This can be a straightforward project or a complex structural undertaking, depending on whether the wall is load-bearing.

A non-load-bearing wall (also called a partition wall) can be removed relatively simply. The wall framing is removed, utilities are rerouted if needed, and the floor, ceiling, and adjacent walls are patched. A load-bearing wall carries the weight of the structure above it and requires a properly sized beam to replace it before the wall can be removed.

Rock Enterprises has extensive experience with wall removal in Monmouth County homes. We can identify load-bearing walls, coordinate with structural engineers when required, install the proper beam and post system, and complete the opening to a finished state. If you are dreaming of an open-concept kitchen or living area, contact us for a free consultation.
